Sunshine TEFL employs a person whose job it is to help you find a place to teach English in Brazil. Upon completion of both courses you will have the opportunity to submit your CV to this person who will then assist you in finding a teaching position in Brazil.

Complete Package:

Our complete package allows you to arrive in Brazil and be placed in a Brazilian family’s home. You will do a TEFL certification together with some Portuguese classes. The community that you will stay in is perfectly situated; it is close to a supermarket, transport routes and the beach. We have a coordinator in the community who speaks English and Portuguese that will help you should you have any difficulty.

While you are staying in the community you will give some English classes, putting into practice what you leaned on the TEFL course and allowing you the opportunity to build some teaching experience.

This is the chance to gain a good qualification, learn a new language, build some professional experience and make a difference in the lives of other people – really the complete package!

20 Hour Practical Course

This course will take you step by step from conceptualising a lesson, to planning it and finally implementing it.
The course is principally practical.

The main focus of the 20hour standard course is to introduce you to the latest TEFL teaching methods. The students will then rehearse these methods in live classroom situations.

Experienced TEFL teachers will observe and comment on these simulated classes.

You learn how to utilize your resources. You will often find yourself in situations where resources are limited.

Part of the course is dedicated to sharing ideas on seeking employment in the TEFL world. Hear from those that have done it and made a lifestyle from it.

Discipline and classroom management is always a popular topic. This will be addressed giving you insights in management techniques and cultural considerations.

20 Hour Online Course

For this course you will receive a comprehensive workbook that you will work through at your own pace submitting your work via email.

In the 20 Hour Online Course the finer subtleties of grammar are explained and practiced. First language speakers often explain a grammar point by merely pointing out 'because it just is'. Learn how to explain grammar points.

We give you many examples of successful lesson plans. You then design your own lesson plan according to the given scenario.

Online Portuguese

This Course was written as a 4 week intensive training course. It takes you from basic vocabulary and verb formation to paragraph writing.

You complete the exercises online in your own time. Our teacher will check your answers and comment accordingly.
